BoardMere is a small kitchenware brand with one idea behind it: the surface you cut your food on should not be made of plastic.
Why we started
Every time a knife hits a plastic cutting board, it sheds microscopic particles — straight into what you eat. Researchers now find those particles throughout the human body. It is invisible, it happens at every meal, and most kitchens have no idea.
The alternative is not new or complicated. It is the material professional kitchens have used for over a century: solid hardwood, built end grain, the way a butcher block is made. We wanted that in ordinary homes, at a price that is not reserved for professionals.
What we sell
Solid acacia cutting boards in three sizes, sold individually or as a complete set, plus the food-grade oil that keeps them alive. No chemical coatings, no laminated composites, nothing synthetic between the blade and your food.
We keep the range deliberately small. We would rather sell four things we can explain in detail than a catalogue we cannot stand behind.
How we operate
We believe you should know exactly who you are buying from and how your order reaches you, so here it is without the marketing gloss:
- BoardMere is the trading name of LBV Ventures, a registered sole proprietorship in France (SIRET 104 986 005 00015), based at 11 rue Galilée, 53960 Bonchamp-lès-Laval.
- We sell to customers across the United States, in US dollars, with free shipping on every order.
- Orders are shipped from our overseas fulfilment partner. Dispatch takes 24 to 72 hours and delivery a further 5 to 12 business days, with tracking. We say this openly rather than promising a two-day delivery we could not honour.
- We are a small operation, not a warehouse chain. Every email is answered by a person, within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
What we stand behind
Every order is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. If a board is not right for your kitchen, you have 30 days from delivery to send it back for a full refund — the conditions are set out plainly in our Refund & Return Policy, including the part where return shipping is paid by the customer. We would rather state that clearly upfront than surprise you later.
If anything arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, we replace it or refund it at our cost.
